Hi,
From history it seems that you are having sciatica pain due to osteo-artheritis changes in your lower vertebral canal.
Never go for self medication particularly with steroids.
If you are allergic to medicines, physiotherapy will give you marked relief.
Accupuncture has no role in your problem.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and follow his advice.
Physiotherapy, traction and ahort way diathermy will help.
Do back extension exercise.
Avoid weight lifting.
Use hard bed for sleeping.
Ok and take care.
