Labia Minora swollen, painful to walk, no sexual stimulation. Ideas?
I came home from work this morning and my labia minora became very swollen- so swollen it was painful to walk. It had a rapid onset- less than 20 min without any form of sexual stimulation . It was only slightly itchy right at the time of swelling. The swelling reminds me of swollen lips during an allergic reaction . Any ideas to help me out?

It can be due to a boil or a cyst. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap ,that help to relieve your pain. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a gynecologist in that case.
