Is This X Ray Report A Cause For Concern?
Hi I have an xray result that says there is a displaced fracture of the distal phalanx of the 5th digit. A chip fracture at the lateral aspect of the distal proximal phalanx of the 5th digit is evident. Adjacent soft tissue swelling is noted. Is this result alarming?

the findings you said about the traumatic effect to your 5th digit means that the last phalanx of it is exposed to sever trauma to make this fracture with displacement of the fracture bone that means that the fractured edges are not in normal alignment together with surrounding edema swelling of the surrounding soft tissue, so you have to consult orthopedic to correct the alignment of your fractured digit and fix it to heal,
