Had a vasectomy in 1976. Over the past 3--5 years I have had episodes of needing to urinate 5-10 times per night into the morning. Mostly trickle, sometimes just a little more. Recently I was in my car traveling home and was caught in a snowstorm which caused gridlock traffic patterns. For 10 hours I sat in traffic before making it to an exit for relief. Now my prostrate is swollen and a UTI has all but knocked me down. My doctor put me on 1 500mg Ciprofloxacin HCL tablet every 12 hours. I also take 1 Centrum Silver supplement daily. I have been drinking cranberry juice and water, and although it feeling less painful to urinate, I stand and go, it stops, I sit and wait a minute, stand and go. Is there any other supplement (like zinc, etc) that I should be taking for my prostrate? Any help you can give in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I have to fly to Canada Monday and will be gone for a week.
