Is There Any Side Effects From Tolol Xr 25?
i m 38 years male i m taking tolol xr25 since last 3 years as my B. P. was observed higher during that period (140/90). Since then i m taking these tablets.Now i want to know the side effects of the tolol xr 25. Now without taking the tablet my B.P.is observed 130/90. Should i continue the tablets.

Tolol XR 25 mg contains metoprolol that is used in the treatment of high blood pressure, chest pain due to heart causes, irregular heart beats etc. It belongs to the group of medications known as beta-blockers that acts as a prophylaxis for migraine type headache. It also protects you from future heart attacks and strokes.
Side effects of Tolol XR are fatigue, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, exhaustion, nausea, vomiting, cold and clammy extremities, low blood pressure or hypotension, slow heart rate or bradycardia, worsening of asthma status, changes in sleep pattern, constipation or diarrhea, dry mouth, flatulence, upset GIT, changes in sexual drive, allergic reactions etc. These side effects are usually mild and go away with the passing of time. If these side effects persist for long, then you should inform your doctor first for medical help. Without informing your doctor, don't stop taking this medication abruptly.
