Hi,

Your symptoms are not caused by your blood pressure. For your age blood pressure data of 100/60 100/70 110/75 are not considered hypotension.
Your complaints may be caused by spine problems or vascular. So, I would advise you to check cervical part of your spine, if there is no problem, have...

Hi there I am a 20 year old female and I smoke continuous marijuana poppers. Lately it has gotten really bad where I would smoke 10-15 a day. I have also had low blood pressure for many years before I had even started poppers. Now that I smoke them I've noticed my low blood pressure is really taking its tole on my everyday life; I constantly feel the need to lay down or sit down. My energy level has plumeted.
I was wondering if I continue my use of marijuana poppers, would it worsen my low blood pressure condition? If so, what is the worse it could lead too?

doctor1 MD

Hi,

You are right in wondering if the marijuana can worsen your low blood pressure problem. Marijuana relaxes the smooth muscles found in the walls of blood vessels. This causes the blood pressure to fall. So, if you are already having low blood pressure, you can expect it to worsen with...

I constantly have low blood pressure as low 87/57 which I had this morning and a few minutes ago, what can I do at home to help in taking care of myself with the low blood pressure? My blood pressure falls for no reason and I even was in a semi-coma this past weekend and had to get taken to the ER in an ambulance because i was not responsive, I am scared at home by myself, so is their anything I can do to help myself when I am alone and blood pressure suddenly drops?

doctor1 MD

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Normal blood pressure is generally considered to be greater than 90/60 and less than a hypertensive.

As you stated, your readings would definitely be considered hypotension.

It would be important to make sure that you use enough fluids daily, this would...

How to handle low bp for a 40 yrs old male?

doctor1 MD

Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

However it needs...

A friend of mine had high blood pressure and had a stroke...he recently died due to low blood pressure. He was supposed to be released to a nursing home when he passed. I am confused as to how someone with high blood pressure could die of low blood pressure and wonder if there was any wrongdoing...

My coworker has low blood pressure and took aspirin.

This may or may not be unrelated, but about 20 minutes ago she almost passed out, made it to a chair and then laid down and isn't able to get up. she says she feels like her body weighs a ton (she's 115 max).

Her husband is on his way, but what should he do? What should WE do?

doctor1 MD

Dear Ma'm
1. It is unlikely to be related to aspirin intake and may be related to the cause of her low blood pressure.
2. Do not let her stand. Make her recumbent and take her to ER as soon as possible.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder

My 15 year old daughter is having continually low blood pressure readings. She is not dehydrated. She has had blood work done and an EKG that came back normal. The school nurse has been taking her blood pressure twice a week at school. She called and told me she is having a hard time taking her blood pressure because she can t even hear it to read it. What do you think is going on?

I m a 30 Indian Male, and I get both extremes of blood pressure. Recorded a high of 160/110 and a low of 68/45 on my digital sphygmanometer (or I think that is what it is called. I also suffer from arrythmia wherein my heart rate has often shot upto as high as 138 beats per minute. For my arrythmia is was prescribed Tenormin (varying doses by diff. doctors) for way too many years now. Even in low blood pressure, my heart rate is often as high as 110. Any cues for me?

I have typically had an average blood pressure of about 120 over 68-70. In the last week I have felt very faint and was very white in the face. I took my blood pressure and it was 80 over 44 on Sunday. Yesterday, Wednesday, it was higher - I think 90 over 45. I have never had low blood pressure like this and I just don t feel good. I have no idea what would cause my blood pressure to dip like this. What are some causes of low blood pressure? Are the latter ratios too low? Thanks:)

I think I have orthostatic hypotension but I am not sure. When I stand up I get the normal dizziness but my vision also fades to black for a few seconds. Sometimes I get tunnel vision. I am a runner so I thought it could be having a runner s pulse, but no one on my team experiences vision loss or as much dizziness. I am not dehidrated either. Is there anything I can do to stop this? Or do I need to see a doctor?
