Is The Numbness In The Foot Is Associated With Epilepsy?

I have epilepsy and lately I have been losing feeling in my left foot. At first it was the front half of my left foot and now it is more at the heel. Only on the left side of my body. Does that sound like a pinched nerve? Would this be completely unassociated with the epilepsy?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your current symptoms and I agree with you that they are unrelated to epilepsy or anti-epileptic drug use.

The most likely cause could be a pinched nerve or another cause of peripheral neuropathy.

A consultation with neurologist and nerve conduction studies would be required to confirm the diagnosis.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
