General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Intermittent spotting and bleeding are due to the effects of birth control pills. These side effects will eventually subside in a few months once your body get used to the pills.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
