Is The Delay In Period Because Of Taking An I Pill?

I had an intercourse on 18th Jan. 2 days before my periods. It was unprotected but i think the guy did not ejaculate inside me. I did not get my period on 20th. I took the ipill on 21st morning..before 72 hrs could get over. The problem is i still haven't got my periods. Is this something to worry about??? Is the delay because of the pill??

Hi, I had gone through your query and understand your concerns.

After taking an Emergency pill(levonorgestrol), periods will very for awhile and you can't really expect it to come at any normal time for at least three months after taking the pill.
Emergency contraception can change the length of your monthly menstrual cycle, making your next period come as much as a week earlier or a week later than usual. Some women also find that the hormones in the pills can cause unexpected bleeding, but this is not a common or serious side effect. It may be heavy or extremely light, and it will be normal.
Hope this guides you. Thank you
