Is Tender Skin On Neck, Back, Shoulders And Arms A Reaction To Bactrim?
I took bactrim for 10 days. Had a severe allergic reaction with rash, red and hot ears etc. Was prescribed benadryl, prednizone and zantac. Have finished these and now my skin is really tender and sensitive on my neck, back, shoulders and arms. Is this another side effect or reaction to the bactrim even though I am not taking it anymore?

The Trimethporime and sulphamethoxazole is known for hypersensitivity reaction and if you have taken this tab. and have similar symptoms then the chances of hypersensitivity reaction of this drug is more likely, antihistamine and steroid preparation will help you try this and have nice day.

I am so sorry to hear about the side effeects you suffered after taking bactrim. These symptoms are probably related to the complications of bactrim. These symptoms will slowly fade away and do ot not really need any specific medical attention or pose any significant threat to your health. I will suggest that you get some medications like vitamins and pain drugs to control these symptoms if they are so incoveniencing.
Please, always tell doctors of this reaction so had with bactrim. The component that caused this problem(sulphonamides) is present in any other drug combination and you should refrain from taking drugs without a doctors prescription to make sure you are not running the risk of this.
