Is Swine Flu Related To Foul Smell?

I had Swine Flu in August & since then have had a "dirty ash tray smell" in my nose that I cant get rid of. Last week that smell turned into a "rusty metal" & then yesterday it turned to an ammonia smell that is stronger when I smell certain foods. MOST foods actually. What could this be?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if swine flu related to foul smell . Well there are number of reasons that can be responsible for nose bleeding like sinusitis , a blocked or stuffy nose often caused by an infection such as a cold or flu , hay fever or other allergies or minor injury .It can also be possible that secondary infection occur due to swine flu , which sometimes occur due to low immunity . It seems to me that probable reason for foul smell and bleeding is infection either bacterial or fungal . I would suggest you to keep your head elevated while sleeping , take benadryl , maintain proper oral hygiene and consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order certain test to find out the exact cause and treat it . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with decongestant , expectorant along with anti allergic .
