Is Swelling In Legs And Feet During Pregnancy Serious?

I am 23 weeks pregnant, amnio and 20 week screen healthy, no major illnesses, but gestational diabetes in last pregnancy for last 6 weeks. This is my 2nd child. I feel awful: tired to the bone, exhausted, a little queasy. I am waiting for anemia test results. I have minor swelling of legs and feet. I feel like my doctor is not available to me and his staff keep giving me the run around. Is it possible I am only feeling the results of anemia or should I push for them to do a more complete exam?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Edema in lower limbs, lethargy and weakness are present in anemia, cardiac illness and pre eclampsia.
I will suggest yourself examined and investigated for all these conditions, and get appropriate treatment.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
