Is Surgical Abortion Safer Than Pills?

im 6months pregnant i want to go in a for a abortion i visited a doc done my sonography....i have been told to do a few tests...i want to do it asap..my doc has suggested for go for a surgical method.im scared is this method better or the pills.plz help.age-27,height-165cms,i have no medical history....

Hello dear,
I understand your concern.
In my opinion sorry there is no role for medical termination in your case.
The medical termination of pregnancy is possible only upto 7 weeks of pregnancy.
After 7 weeks the surgical methods are only advisable.
And as you are 6 months surgical method is the only option.
Surgical method at this age of pregnancy is also done by different methods like emecrydyl injection into uterus or induction of abortion by misoprostol every 6 th hourly etc.
All the methods are equally successful.
Your treating doctor will choose a better method depending on your condition.
Don't worry.Relax.
