Is Pulse Being Over 100 While Being On Medications And History Of Having Heart Attack Serious?

Hello, my name is Henryka. Last 5 weeks my pulse is 100 and over. I had hart attack 3 years ago. Recently I m taking Amox TR-K-CLV 875-125 mg, Benzonatate 200 mg,Prednisone 20 mg. Atenolol 25 mg and Simvastatin 40 mg taking continuously since hart attack. My cardiologist things this s not a problem but I m seriously warring about my condition. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear about this heart rate. For someone on atenolol after a heart attack, this seems too high. To me, it suggests that you are being under treated especially with atenolol which is meant to reduce the heart rate and prevent an already injured heart from over working. If I were the treating physician, I would have strongly considered to increase the dose of atenolol to bring this heart rate to less than 70/min.
