Is Numbness And Pain In Upper Arm And Shoulder Blade A Sign Of Pinched Nerve? Can A Cold Compress Help?

hi, the back upper part of my right arm and lower right side of arm are numb and I have sharp pains radiating from around my right lower shoulder blade- feels like a nerve is pinched, seems to get worse at night during sleep and when I awake in morning. A cold compress seems to help a bit. Is there anything that will help to make it go away or will it heal by itself? its been 3 weeks already

thx

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Yes. These are signs of a nerve compression. You need to have cervical isometric exercises and do a hot fomentation in the area to decrease the symptoms. Methylcobalamin supplements will also help.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
