Hi,

Tranexa with Hemsyl contains Tranexamic acid and Ethamsylate, which by serving the anti fibrinolytic purpose, helps in decreasing the menstrual bleeding. Usually these drugs may not interact with combined hormonal pills like Novelon, unless associated with other comorbidities like over weight, hypertension, diabetes, with history of smoking etc.

As you want to use for two days only, there may not be major drug interactions. But if you experience continuation of excessive bleeding, breast tenderness, pain abdomen etc, better to consult your doctor once. At your age compared with combined pills, progesterone only pills are preferred if using for the purpose of controlling and regularizing menstrual flow. You can discuss this with your doctor and can plan accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
