Is It Safe To Take 1topzole 40mg For Stomach Ulcer?

hi i am 75 years old i took last nite for 1st time 1topzole 40mg tablet since i have a stomach ulcer how ever this morning i woke up this morning with a terrible allergy from my waist down by the afternoon i was clear again could that be side effects of the medicine and if so should i continue taking it?
