Is It Safe To Have Oral Sex While Having HPV?

I'm 19 years old, I'm approx. 5'2 and i weight about 130 and I'm a female. My doctored informed me that I have 4 types of HPV. But she wouldn't tell me anything else so I come to you for help. Is it safe for me to have sex with my boyfriend and him not catch it? And also is it safe to have oral like if he licks me down there and kisses me could be both get it in the mouth? I'm so very confused and my doctor is no help at all. Please help if you can.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Human papilloma virus (HPV) can be transmitted by sexual route.
HPV is known to be a precursor of carcinomas of the genital tract as well as upper gastrointestinal tract.

However, you and your partner can take the vaccine.

A barrier methods for contraception will help to prevent the transmission of the viral infection.
