Is It Safe To Do Exercise With Swollen Tonsils?

Hi, I m being treated for tonsillitis. I m on day 4 now, my fever has gone and I feel loads better. Though my right tonsil is still swollen and got White spots on it. Can I exercise with it like this, for example zumba class, and if I do can it get worse?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Usually when a person has an tonsil infection, I recommend to rest and drink liquids. If you want to have physical activity, I recommend to walk or stretching exercises.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
