Is It Safe To Consume Fefol During Pregnancy? Does It Contain Iron?

Hello Doctor,

I am 19 weeks pregnant and my gynecologist has recommended Fefol-z iron tablet. However prior to consuming the medicine, I tried to check whether the medicine is spurious or not, so I took the capsule closer to the magnet. I was surprise to see that the capsule got stuck with the magnet.

This is to my understanding that Fefol contains real iron substances.

Is it safe to consume this medicine during pregnancy or shall I consult my gynaecologist for a substitute medicine.

Iron capsule are recommended during pregnancy to improve iron content in the body so that sufficient to make red blood cells and prevent anemia. Fefol contains iron . You can consume medication as prescribed by your gynecologist and it is safe drug.
