Prescribed Fopymin And Duphaston During Pregnancy. Is Fefol-z Safe?

Hi. I am 14 weeks pregnant. I was prescribed Fopymin and Duphaston. and now shall I start taking Fefol-Z also (without prescription). Just heard that Fefol-Z is good during pregnancy but also heard that it contains iron that is attracted towards magnet. I am confused whether to take Fefol-Z or to go for other medicine for iron supplement. Please help.

Hi

Thanks for the query

Fefol-Z is a very good iron preparation as it also contains folic acid and zinc.

Iron for oral consumption is not given in elemental form, so magnetic testing is not a way to test the quality. So you can go ahead with it, it is definitely safe

But as you are already taking fopymin which already contain folic acid so if you want you can go for only iron preparation.

Regards.
