Is It Okay To Skip Thyroxine For Many Days If TSH Is Too Low?

I had my thyroid removed 40 years ago because of cancer and have been on thyroxine 200mcg 1xday. I have started getting anxious and jittery. My Dr. did blood test and said I was taking too much thyroid so to skip two days a week. I did that and did more tests after 3 months and she said my tsh is 0.006 so to stop taking it four days a week is it okay to skip that many days? I thought she might just lower my dose.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have history of thyroidectomy. You are taking thyroxine and your TSH is very low. So suggest you have drug induced hyperthyroidism.

You need to reduce the dosage of your thyroxine. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health
