Is It Normal To Have Chest Pain During Pregnancy?

Hi, I have a question; I am 32 weeks pregnant, and I just started to develop a sort of pain in my chest, and it becomes somewhat hard to breath due to this pain. What can this be? Is this typical during pregnancy? Unfortunately, my doctor is out of town this week and I have no means of contacting him.

Hello dear, I understand your concern. In my opinion pain in chest is significant if it is associated with any
1. fever ,cough then it is lung infection
2.if you have any prior heart disease
3.if you have breathlessness
4.if you are anaemic.
If you dont have any of the above then it might be simple gastritis or muscular origin.
Avoid spicy diet and take simple paracetamol.
But if have any of the above condition then better consult your doctor and take apt treatment.
But nothing to worry.relax.some sort of pains start in pregnancy as uterus grows and compresses the upper abdomen.and they releive spontaneously after delivery.
