My husband was diagnosed with sudden hearing loss last week and was given prednisone 6 pills 1 time a day his hearing has improved and is now to start only 3 pills although he has caught a bad case of the flu a d is running fever of 102 and the prednisone make him hot flash and

I can understand your concern, once corticosteroids started then it has to be finished (In taper manner ) you can not stop this suddenly otherwise this may cause unwanted side effects, your husband needs to complete the course of prednisone no matter if he has flu like symptoms this wont do any harm, stop worrying and have nice day.
