HCG diet is itself a hormone (Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin) prepared and used as a medicine for losing weight.Whether it is effective cannot be said.HCG is used in form of injection;pills and even drops.So what you are using needs to be seen.As for the side effects there is no study about the side effects and even there is no scientific evidence that HCG is effective in the treatment of obesity; it does not bring about weight-loss or fat-redistribution, nor does it reduce hunger.So use it if you want but medically there is no benefit.
