Is Epilat Retard Effective For Pregnancy?
hi doctor im pregnant in 6 weeks and i have 3 abortion before now i take duphastone & cobal f & jusprin& epilat retard& hostcortin _h now i want to ask about epilat retard &hostcortin _h if there danger in firist trimister in pregnancy thanks very much im not suffer from high pressure and nu cardiac disease

Epilat retard contains Nifedipine which is a calcium channel blocker used in the treatment of hypertension.It is a safe drug and can be used in pregnancy. Nifedipine, Labetalol and Hydralazine are the common drugs used in pregnancy when hypertension is diagnosed.They are safe drugs and rarely cause any fetal defects.
Nifedipine belongs to pregnancy category C according to FDA classification in which Category A is safest and D, X can affect the fetus. Hence I would suggest you to continue with the drug regularly.Avoid stress.Practice meditation and mind relaxation techniques to reduce stress.Monitor your blood pressure levels regularly.
