Irregular Periods. Taking Medication, Stopped, No Periods. Duphaston To Restart Periods?

Hi, Doc, I have my irregular periods since im 12 years old, now im 24 already, i went to my Doctor and she gave me pills to take so I can have periods monthly, i took the pill for almost 2 years and then I stopped taking it, and now, i dont have periods for 2 months? is it fine to take duphaston tablet to have period back? thanks.

Hello

Before taking progesterone you must get an ultrasound scan and thyroid profile done.
Polycystic ovaries and hypothyroidism can cause delayed periods.
It is better to take progesterone in the form of nor-ethisterone for withdrawal bleeding and for a shorter duration under your doctor's prescription.
