Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

You should be examined by a neurologist who can assess you more fully using tests for memory and cognitive functioning to see what sorts of problems you may be having.

Also, they may check you for nutritional and hormonal deficiencies known to be associated with memory problems such as Vitamin B12, D, and thyroid hormones. But keep in mind something that is frequently overlooked in these sorts of situations. Medications themselves are probably the single most forgotten about causes of memory problems in patients treated for epilepsy and depression. You may not be able to stop these medications necessarily but if everything else checks out then, medications you are taking are a reasonable next consideration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi,
Neurologist
