General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. The mode of treatment can be decided by seeing the x ray only. If it is stable fracture then immobilization with plaster cast is enough. If unstable you need a surgical fixation. For pain management i give my patients tramadol plus paracetamol or ketorolac. But if the pain is more even after medication it can be due to increase in compartmental pressure of foot. In such case you should approach Emergency Room soon.Immobilize your leg with elastic bandage till you get your definite treatment. Wishing you a speedy recovery Let me know if you have any further query
