Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about a 43 year old female who has suffered from
IBS for years, pain on eating anything, explosive gas, need enemas to evacuate the bowel, pain increases on eating anything wrong, was investigated thoroughly in 2007 - you are in military.
With the details that you have provided, it is understood that you have
constipation and needs further studies with the following.
Contrast enhances
CT scan of the abdomen with Enteroclysis/ Enterography.
Make a list of the foods and beverages that cause you hte problems and stop all such things forever as it takes time for the washout of the products you are allergic to.
Secondly consult your Doctors at the Military hospital- there would be some Doctor who would go through the medical files, study them well and advise you accordingly.
If you take too much of antispasmodic it will also cause constipation hence you have to take the medicines in such a way that they do not cause constipation or hard stool.
Try different types of laxatives and stool softeners in the form of
Cremaffin plus, Isabgol husk,
milk of magnesia and use
Dulcolax or
Glycerin suppositories instead of enema. You will soon recognize which one suits you the best.
