yep....it's deep breathing, or meditation breathing.... problem is, it takes a little practice.... but i guess you can practice now.....sit erect. breathe in very slowly through your nose with your mouth closed. VISUALIZE the air as coming up through your feet, up through your legs, up through the trunk of your body, and collecting in a pool of white light around your heart. Expand your rib cage so you get lots of air in....but slowly.... when you are as full of air as you can be, very very slowly exhale through slightly parted lips and lower your eyelids about half way. Imagine all that white light slowly and calmly exiting through your arms and hands, and let yourself feel quiet and heavy on your sit-upon. you want the inhale to happen as the doctor puts the cuff on and inflates it, and you want the exhale to happen as he or she lets the pressure off and begins to measure...... i can get my blood pressure down to 90 over 70 doing this, but I have quite a lot of practice.....
