I am a non-drinking male who doesn t take any medication, and my weight is normal too. total Cholestrol level is 208, and all other tests are within the range.Is there anything any can do about my higher GGT level.? do i need any futher examinations/medicines? ( had kidney stones 5 years back and removed. )
Hi, get an abdominal sonography done to see whether there is liver enlargement, or fat accumulation in it. If there is, it will need treatment with bile salts/Silymarin. Exercise, and a low fat diet, should also help--regards
Hello . Thanks for posting at HCM. All your lab investigations are normal. Ggtp is on he higher side , but an isolated raise in GGTP is not of much concern. Total cholesterol is little on the higher side so I would recommend diet modifications to restrict oily food, butter and cheese. Wishing you good health Regards
