How To Get Rid Of Sore Throat And Ringing Ears?

Hello, I hope you can advise. Two weeks ago, I had a lasting sore throat, not the usual kind of sore throat I am used to (deep at the back of it). My sinuses weren't blocked, but I had mucus building up at the back of the throat, and I kept forcefully trying to breathe in through the nose to swallow the mucus. One time I did that and I blocked an ear, which built up pressure, and eventually started to really hurt - especially at night. The pain subsided, but it started ringing, and it still is. Is this ringing going to go away?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have got an ear infection secondary to infection in throat and sinusitis and as the throat and ears are connected via eustachian tube therefore severe infection in throat and sinus leading to post nasal drip can cause ear infection and it can be a cause of Tinitus that is ringing in ears..
Nothing to worry, consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in confirming the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..
He can advise you to take oral and ear drops antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, decongestant nasal sprays..
Do warm compresses around the ear..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
