hi; doctor;
i had done my abortion on 19th july;2012 and also had periods from 25th august to 31st august & today i have unprotected sex with my boy friend in upward position ..... i m scared now of being pregnant ...is it safe to take unwanted -72 tablet as emergency contraceptic pill ??? pls reply

Thanks for your question.
Unwanted-72 is a recognized method of morning after contraception. It has to be used within 72 hours of sex in order to be effective.
It contain hormones, so, have many side effects ranging from nausea, vomiting, stomach upset to heavy bleeding & cycle upset.
If you need it, you take it.
If you are not ready for a pregnancy use a regular birth control method.
