How Long Should I Wait To Have Sex After Undergoing Hysteroscopy?
Hello, I had a hysteroscopy 9 days ago. There was a small polyp that was found and removed. I bled for about a day, and I feel 100% better now. I misses my period going on 2 days now. I'm trying to get pregnant, so how long should I wait to have sex again? And will my chances of getting pregnant increase?
I am so sorry to hear of this hysteroscopy you. However happy because you were able to get the polyp removed.
When you can resume sex would depend grately on the location of this polyp ans whether there was any injury to the the vaginal or not. It would be best to ask the doctor whether there is any reason for which you should not have early sex. Removing the polyp from the uterine would for sure increase your chances of conceiving but, it is not a guarantee.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Feel free to ask for clarifications and more information if need be. I wish you well. Dr. Ditah, MD.
