Hi,
The estrogen ring should be used for a 3 week period and taken out for the last week during which menses commence.This can be used for several years.Most patients use it till 35 years or so similar to oc pills.Since the effects are the same as oc pills,the device is used the same way as pills.After 35 yrs,they should be used with caution as risk factors increase just like that in oc pills.
