How Early Should I Consult Doctor For Pregnancy After Delayed Periods?

Hi. I had a son 3 years ago, and my periods are late a lot. It makes me scared I'm pregnant, even though my husband always uses a condom. I haven't had a period in 41 days now. It's always later after he uses one, and one time when we aren't intimate. I hate this feeling of uncertainty. I was 8 weeks pregnant last time I went to the doctor's, and it was negative. I had to go for an ultrasound to find out. How much time should I give it this time? Should I make an appointment? Everytime I go to the gynocologist, they say I'm normal. Something must be wrong, right?

Hello dear
I understand your concern
If you had unprotected sexual intercourse then there is chance of pregnancy.
Following are the tests for pregnancy.
Blood HCG test: It will give positive result earliest, just 10 days sfter sexula intercourse.
Home pregnancy kit: It will give positive result 8-10 days after the delayed period.

So you can consult the gynecologist and go for blood HCG test.
Other cause of delayed period like ovarian cyst /PCOS, endometriosis, hormonal imbalance, thyroid dysfunction, excessive stress,and adenomyosis should be rule out after proper investigations as follows:
USG scan, ovarian follicle study, reproductive and thyroid hormone analysis.
Treatment will depend on specific cause.
In absence of pregnancy, period can be induced by progesterone pill/Shot.
