How Contagious Is The Burning Blisters Under Breast Area?
I have blisters erupt on red shots on my side and one right under my breast area. The area burns, but does not itch. I think it must be shingles. On friday of this week, I got the red spots. The blisters appeared late saturday evening. I work around pregnant women and babies and young children under 5 years. How contiguous am I?
I have gone through your query. Type of Lesions you have mentioned is suggestive of Shingles(Herpes Zoster). Red lesion are extremely contagious by touch. But as soon as blisters are formed over it, these become less contagious. To be on safe side you should avoid contact with pregnant women and children till you completely recover from it. Oral antiviral drugs like acyclovir or famciclovir can be taken along with analgesics. These will hasten your recovery.
Do consider a positive feedback as a credit to my work. Let me know if you have any further questions.
