Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You have epilepsy and are taking Carbamazepine (Tagretol) 400. You are on Escitalopram (Feliz S) 10 for anxiety. You are also taking Temesartan 20, Bisoprolol 2.5 and Statix F for hypertension and high lipids.

Escitalopram is anti-anxiety and anti-depressant drug. The drug is not associated with serious side effects at 10 mg doses, but you have mentioned that you want to discontinue it. Usually I advise my patients to gradually taper the doses of drug about 20-25% reduction of doses every two weeks and then stopping completely at about 6-8 weeks. In this way serious withdrawal symptoms are prevented. You can consult a psychiatrist and can discuss for tapering the doses.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
