High Pulse Rate. What Could Be Causing This?

Yesterday I was giving blood and they wouldn t take it right away because my pulse was at 116. They were concerned but had me sit in the lounge and think calm thoughts. It finally went down yo 98 so they took my blood. No big deal. But then today it was taken again at my psychologists spot and it was 114. She seems concerns especially when I told her about yesterday. She wants me to dee my Dr. What could cause this. Should I be concerned. Ber misleading!

Hello Dear
It a normal human phenomenon and about 50% of the patients feel that. There pulse rate/heart rate and Blood pressure increase while seeing to the doctor or doing some fearing job like talking to seniors.
If you think that yo have a such kind of fear while you are donating blood or seeing to psychologists than need not to worry. Else record your pulse at different times for 2-3 days even during sleeping and during rest. If it is continuously high than you needs to be investigated that. Consult your cardiologist for that.
Best Wishes
