HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

High blood pressure is most often primary -there is no obvious disease causing the blood pressure, mainly associated with age, family history of high blood pressure, diet, physical activity, risk factors such as smoking.
It is extremely important that the blood pressure be controlled because of the complications.
Treatment includes: (1)restriction of salt intake, (2) use of fruits and vegetables, (3)restriction of use of juices, carbonated beverages, alcohol (4)use of low fat foods such as low fat cheese, low fat milk (5)use of foods that contain potassium and calcium which have been shown to improve blood pressure.

In addition , it is important that your wife takes her medication as prescribed.

I hope this helps

Hi aalam,
Although gastric problem don't cause high BP. But high BP is in itself a big problem and can lead to many unintended problem. High BP can lead to many other big big problem, so it is imporant to control the BP within the noraml limits.
It is good that your wife is not having any other problem except BP. The BP which you mentioned is very high and it is not going to be controlled by just having salt restriction. Although salt restriction is an important part for management for BP, but the high BP also requires medication to control that apart from the dietary interventions.
I would suggest you to consult your doctor regarding this high BP and start taking some medication for this and also seek help for the gastric problem.

Thanks and take care
