Having Itchy White Patches Near The Genital Area. Applied Coconut Oil. Suggest Ointment?
Yes sir,
I am 43 yrs old ( Male).For the last 3 months there is an itching near my private parts not exactly with private parts.
Exacts. near the surrounding areas of my private parts & there are some thing like white patches which is very itching in nature.When i apply coconut oil there is a huge relief & again it starts in night.
There also few cuts in the areinous itching & it has become red due to continous itching & scratching.
Please suggest some ointment for the same.

Hello,
You seem to have been suffering from fungal infection which is very common in tnis area of body because of lot of moisture in this area because of sweating.Increased moisture and dampness helps in proliferation of fungal infection.
Treatment involves..
Daily washing of private parts with plain water snd then drying it properly.
Wearing loose underwears made of cotton.
Apply local anti fungal cream like CLOTRIMAZOLE twice daily.
Take oral anti fungal tablet like FLUCANAZOLE 150 mg once a week for 6 weeks.
If itching is a big problem,then you may take some anti histaminic like CETRRIZINE one tablet in night for a week.
