Having High Sugar Level During Pregnancy. Possibility Of Gestational Diabetes?
Hey, my name is Ashley. I had a blood glucose test done today, i am 27 weeks pregnant. My result was 171 and that was four hours after eating. My first test with fasting at 16 weeks was 113. Is it a high possibility that i have gestational diabetes? My mother had it, and so did her mother. Also, my first child was 9 pounds 10 ounces. Thank you.

hba1c is a very appropriate test for diagnosis of diabetes...
however 171 ,4 hours after eating is high
family history also suggests diabetes
there is possibility that you have gestational diabetes.
talk to your doctor and manage it properly
