Having Fever, Ear Infection, Cold. Given Tylenol. Treatment?

My grandson has an uneven fever. He was diagnosed by a dr to have an ear infection and cold. His fever on one temple is 104 degrees while the other is 106 degrees. We have been giving him Tylenol regularly and putting him in a cool bath when his fever exceeds 103 degrees. Why is it uneven and at what point should we take him to the ER?

As far as fever is concerned if it is persistent the patient should be examined by local doctor first. Certain tests like blood tests or urine tests may be required. If ear infection is suspected then antibiotics alongwith nose and ear drops may be prescribed.
