Symptoms related to a slipped disc can be long term and last weeks or months. in the meantime it is important to treat the symptoms. Therefore, I suggest you take paracetamol and ibuprofen for the pain. Continue gentle, low impact exercise if the pain allows. Physiotherapy and help build up core muscle strength to support our back. The hope is that the bulging and inflamed disc reduces and the nerve pain subsides. If these conservative measures do not relieve your pain then surgery may be necessary.
I hope you feel better soon.
