Have Red Rash On Inner Part Of Lower Right Leg. No Itching. I Am Overweight. Have Hair Loss. Cure?

I have had a red rash on the inner part of my lower right leg above the ankle for about 2 weeks now. It seems to be under the skin, and does not itch. It is now starting on the left leg. I am overweight for my build (5 ft., 3 in. and 175 lbs.), and am trying to walk as much as possible. I do not tolerate the heat and humidity very well- and it's been much warmer lately. I also have mild hypothyroid treated by RX. This may be unrelated, but I have experience a great deal of hair loss in the past month.

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi,
I need to know your age to know if your hair loss is a normal response or if it due to a pathologic process. It is also possible that with hypothyroidism to be susceptible to certain types of rash. The rash that you have on your legs is probably due to exercise that has caused you to bruise in that area. This has lead to small areas of bleeding. This is nothing to be alarmed about. In fact this is a good sign as it means that you are having a fruitful workout. I only recommend that you continue working out at your current rate and also maintain the thyroid medication that you are on.
I wish you the best for your future endeavours.
