Have Pain In Knee After Physical Activity. What To Do To Increase Knee Stability?

i am 16, 5 foot 9 and weigh 160 pounds. i have pain in my knee after activities such as basketball where my knee would give me pain. It only occurs during physical activities that require my legs but i feel as if it cant just be a growing issue since i outgrew my mother and am about the same height as my brother and father. Hopefully i am still growing but im wandering what things can i do to help increase knee stability and strength and if i have to see a doctor. thanks

Hi, it could still be related to growth and open physis in your bones. The best idea would be to use elastic knee supports or binders while playing, something that many athletes do. Warm up before running, especially if you play in the morning. Also you could learn some knee exercises like Quadriceps Strengthening and Hamstring curls from your trainer or physiotherapist. If the pain persists, see a doctor.
