Could High Body Weight Effect Knee Replacement?

I am suffering from knee pain for the pas 15 years and is used to take pain killer pills for a long time. I also took treatment with several ortho doctors for my knees and did physcio therophy exercises. Now my family doctor has advised to go for knee replacement as taking pills for long time will harmful to health. I am female and my body weight is 101 k.g. Does my body weight gives any problem if I undergo knee replacement? Kindly answer

Your body weight is not a problem regarding the knee replacement. The only thing to consider is that the rehabilitation period with be longer because of more excessive pain due to being overweight.
