Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are most likely suffering from acute exacerbation of allergic bronchial asthma.
Presence of itchy throat, history of asthma with shortness of breath suggests the diagnosis.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ chest physician and should go for thorough check up.
You should take antiallergic along with montelukast, aminophyllines, bronchodilators.
You should also opt for inhalation therapy as medicines is required in low dose and directly goes to lungs.
You should also perform hot steam inhalation.
Avoid cold drinks and oily foods.
Take care,

Hi I have gone through your complaints.
As you are having asthma you symptoms usually start with mild upper respiratory tract infection.
In case of asthma the only dictum is ' prevention is better than cure ' .
You should avoid all the triggering factors like cold climate, allergens , cold water etc like the food to which you are allergic. You can continue the medicines which were prescribed by your doctor.
The cough is mainly due to bronchoconstriction. You need to use bronchodilator as and when needed.
Thank u. Good day
