Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Palpitations are the experience of an irregular or abnormal heart beat.In the normal heart beat, there is a specific point of the heart that starts the 'electrical impulse'.

This impulse then travels along a specific pathway to stimulate the rest of the heart.

Palpitations can occur if there is increased stimulation at the normal starting point , (2) another part of the heart initiates an impulse or (3) if there is any change in the pathway

To determine the cause of your palpitations, your doctor would suggest blood tests such as complete blood count, thyroid function tests and also an ECG.
The ECG would look at the rhythm, rate of the heart beat.

You should consult your doctor for an assessment.

I hope this helps
